Sweet baby Dylan came to see me at 12 days old. He even brought his fur-sister! I’ve had dogs in the photo studio a few times now with their newborns and I am loving this addition to the photography session. Pets are an important part of the family too, your baby’s first and probably best friend- these families will treasure these portraits forever.
Dylan’s session was styled in blue and gray, with very few props. I love working without props, and letting the baby be the focus of the image. Far too often props can be a distraction in the picture, catching the attention instead of the beautiful baby’s face. My client’s come to me to capture images of their new baby – not a cute new hat I’ve got, or trendy headband. I don’t ever want your memories to look “dated”, as my baby photos from the 1980’s do. Yes, props can enhance an image and that is how I strive to use them- to enhance the beauty of your baby, bring focus to the tiny subject, and show the emotion of the moment.
